tivo works with all cable cards, its certified by the cablecard labs. its possibly an issue with your cableco's card type. some systems use an older type that uses a powerkey. i don't know all the details, but a cable tech told me my system (cablevision woodbury, ny) uses the new type NDS card, which is way better than the older powerkey typeTanner said:so others have had major issues getting Insight to issue the CableCARD for these as well? Please keep in mind that CableCARD is neither Powerkey nor NDS which are other security key based systems (one-way and two-way) that have been implemented to enable the decoding of the digital streams in systems.dubluv said:tivo works with all cable cards, its certified by the cablecard labs. its possibly an issue with your cableco's card type. some systems use an older type that uses a powerkey. i don't know all the details, but a cable tech told me my system (cablevision woodbury, ny) uses the new type NDS card, which is way better than the older powerkey type
