I bought this from eBay:
TiVo VOX Voice Remote Control w/Dongle -Used- Roamio Bolt Netflix RCN | eBay

I thought I could use the dongle to pair my RF remote with my A92... because my A93 died and boot loops.

But I can't get it to work (pair). The remote stays in IR mode (flashes red instead of orange).

I am using TE3. Is it because the dongle is Bluetooth and I need to be running TE4 for it to work? No way I am doing that. Or am I doing something wrong?

I have a dongle from the TiVo 'Keyboard Remote' that is supposed to work with my A92 Mini but I haven't gotten a 'Round Tuit' yet...

Thanks but I have an A92, not a MiniVOX (which is an A95 I think?). I have 2 A95's paired with remotes already (also running TE3)... I want to pair my old A92 so I bought the dongle... but so far no success. I'll see if there's any helpful info for my case on that Reddit thread.

See if the dongle from the TiVo 'Keyboard Remote' will fill your need...

Folks need to learn the intricacies of the GOOGLE Search Command (i.e. site:tivocommunity.com) and play with various parameters. I find LOTS of things that way...

I took the chicken way out: I bought another Roamio and used it for the host to run TE4. I just wanted 4k. But thanks for thinking of me.

The VOX remote/dongle would be BLE (Bluetooth) and not RF like the A93 remote.

OK.. and I'm guessing Bluetooth dongles won't work with TE3? I have VOX remotes and non-VOX remotes and neither will pair with the VOX dongle I got on my A92 running TE3.
