I just got a new phone, and when I try using the remote control in the Tivo app for my Bolt, it says "Home Network Required".

I'm on the same network as my Bolt, and the remote works fine using the Tivo app on my old phone. Also it can stream without any problem.

Does anyone know why the Tivo app remote won't work on my new phone?

Try turning off the data on your phone using only wifi.

I just tried that but no luck.

Hmmm.. When I try rescanning it says:

"The box was not found on the current network"

But it works fine on my other phone, which is on the same wifi network.

Were the old and new phones iPhones? How did you set up the new phone? I've found that for some apps that I transfer from an old phone or restore a new phone from an old phone iCloud backup that I have to delete the app on the new phone and load it to the phone from the Apple App Store, and set it up again. That has fixed similar issues for me with other apps.

I'm moving from a Google Pixel 3a to a Pixel 3. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but it made no difference. When I compare thee settings on the two phones side by side, the only difference I see is that the new phone doesn't show a MAC address for my Tivo. So for some reason it's not finding it on the network, but I can't figure out why.
