Recovery of Recordings?

A few days ago I replaced my hard drive after getting the Welcome... Powering Up screen that would not go away. It turned out to be the power supply which I replaced. Now all is working again. I have my old hard drive which has a program on it that I would like to retrieve and record on my dvd recorder. The old hard drive is now out of the Tivo having replaced it with the new one. Other than installing my old hard drive as a slave unit is there a way I can retrieve the program I want to keep and record it to dvd?

Install that drive back into the TiVo. That is the only way, or at least the easiest and only supported way.

Installing the old drive "as a slave unit" won't give you access to the recordings. In fact, it will wipe them out.
