Hi guys. My cable cards will be installed tomorrow. When I record a digital cable channel, does the recording quality have any affect on things, or is it like the old DirecTivo days?

Digital channels are already compressed, so the playback should be identical. Is that what you mean?
Yeah, mostly. Do I need to select (or am I even given the ability to select) recording quality, and if so, does it make a difference??

You can't select quality if it's digital.

Comcast just went ADS in Colorado Springs; I'm 100% digital and never got a chance to test the different quality levels for analog.
