I am brand new to the TiVo Roamio OTA. The red recording light on the right front of the box is coming on even though no scheduled recording is happening. Is this normal? I'm into day 2 so maybe it's still setting stuff up? I haven't setup the weeks recording schedule yet (a Sunday task) and nothing was set to record on Saturday when I noticed the light on.

are suggestions turned on? if so, tivo is recording content that you may enjoy, based on what little you've set to record so far. suggestions don't count towards used space, and will delete themselves automatically when needed.

That was it!! I thought it just suggested things, didn't think it would record them. It's been turned off. Thank you for your reply, there are many layers of menus to get through. . . .

If you empty the folder containing what was downloaded it will go away after the next restart.

Wow, when I turned off suggestions I also unchecked the suggestions folder. Just rechecked it. It was recording up a storm, not one of the shows in there would be anything I'd be interested in. So much for AI Thanks for the tip, I've deleted and have unchecked the suggestions folder again.

The folder will go away after a restart if it is empty.
