That's all of the last generation TiVo-branded single-tuner Series2 boxes, so it isn't much of a catch if it is. If it is a single-tuner TiVo Series2 with the white plastic oval on the front, it is a 540.

I did closer checking on the actual rebate form. These things are tricky and easy to get wrong...

Um, the rebate is for the *new* box, not your old, current one! The TSN the form speaks of is on the new box. Any new box added to your existing TiVo account is new service. You can use this rebate.

As ebf said, the rebate is only on a *new* purchase.

But you have a Series2, a second revision Series2 at that. The very fix S2s were 1xx, then they had a minor hardware refresh as the 2xx, then there was a major redesign and the case switched from the blackish dark-gray to silver with the white oval on the front and those are 5xx. Then the S2DT has a black oval and is the 649. The Series3 is the 648. And the TiVo HD is the 652.

The Pioneer DVD units (275) and the Toshiba SD-H400 (264) are based on the 2xx platform. The Toshiba and Humax DVD burners are based on the 5xx platform, as are the standalone Humax boxes (565, 590, 595).
