Love the intro for tonite with the keys, money and wallet disappearing.

I really like that they don't make the devil (and Wise doesn't play him as) this kind of preternaturally good-natured, jovial guy. He's that way a lot, but it's good that they skew him a little more serious and sinister sometimes.Rob Helmerichs said:I bet Ray Wise is just PRAYING for a speedy resolution to the WGA contract negotiations. Yeah, that's one thing that annoys me about fiction. People in TV shows, movies, comics, books often don't tell other people about their Special Abilities not because people wouldn't do that, but because people in TV shows, movies, comics, books don't tell other people about their Special Abilities.Graymalkin said:I agree -- he really needs to tell Andi. Especially now that he's pretty much lost her anyway. What has he got to lose? She definitely would be the brains of that outfit.![]()
I'm two weeks behind on Californication, and the episode prior to that I couldn't even finish and deleted 15 minutes into it. I don't dislike the show, I'm just finding no point to it and don't care about anyone on it. As bad as Smallville is, at least its got a few characters I generally root for. And while sometimes the writing on Reaper is weaker than it could be and I believe his sidekick is horribly miscast and poorly written, I see more potential there with the concept than I've ever considered in Californication; and at least there doesn't seem to be any character on Reaper as bad as Lana. Even the escaped souls seem more purposeful and interesting than most of the freaks of the week on Smallville.TAsunder said:This show is getting worse each week. I watched reaper and last week's smallville on the same night... what a stupid thing to do! Fortunately a fun little episode of californication from monday night saved the evening.
