I wonder when Sam will learn not to second-guess the vessels..?
I feel like they are rapidly gaining both competence and confidence. They made reasonable assumptions this show (even if they were wrong), and didn't hesitate to go after the demon directly. Sam is quick on his feet in a clutch as well, using the hanger to short out the toaster vessel.Bananfish said:It would be a shame if the show doesn't manage to turn the corner and let the characters settle into some competence and confidence, because there are some really good elements in this show.
You should have stuck with it. Other than seeing swarming bee's flying around there really wasn't much more of the bugs in it.AJRitz said:I have to admit that, as much as I like this show, I couldn't watch this episode. I have a "thing" about bugs. After the opening sequence, with the huge roach on the toothbrush, I couldn't do it. I stopped watching and deleted the recording. I'll pick it up again next week.
I found that interesting. Marisa Hargitay is the daughter of Jayne Maynesfield. If I remember correctly, there was a rumor during Jayne Maynesfield's day that she was involved with Anton LeVay and the church of satan.tivogurl said:Was that Mariska Hargitay in the photo with the devil?
I agree with your points but will continue to watch even after a few more weeks. All of the necessary parts for a good show are here, but it's getting bogged down by the unnecessary cliches.Bananfish said:I'm starting to think this show is going to lose me in a week or two. I find myself being less and less entertained with each new episode, not because they're any less interesting, but because the "kids hilariously stumble and bumble their way while bagging the denizen-of-hell-of-the-week" routine is starting to wear thin. And the "hot girl and good guy don't get together ... just because" routine is starting to get tiresome too.
Kind of reminds me of Greatest American Hero - at some point, it just wasn't funny any more that the guy kept flying into trees and buildings and stuff.
And dare I say it ... the same "stumble bumble saves the day" formula was a miserable failure with Jar Jar Binks too.
It would be a shame if the show doesn't manage to turn the corner and let the characters settle into some competence and confidence, because there are some really good elements in this show.
Hear, hear! (Tho I think it's "Andi")Dignan said:This show needs more Andy.![]()
+1. I like this show, but as I was watching, I kept wondering what they will do to keep this show interesting. The formula is cool, but it can get stale quick. I'll give it another ep or two, and really hope they find a way to keep it fresh.Bananfish said:I'm starting to think this show is going to lose me in a week or two. <snip>
It seems to me that 45 minutes would be the best length for this show. 30 is just too short to develop a "bad soul" and fit in some laughs and whatnot, and 60 is just too long for the lightheartedness to keep your interest.WinBear said:This episode was not funny. All the delaying and stretching to fill an hour just made this episode miserably uncomfortable.
