It'll do whatever it did the last time you had it working. There hasn't been an update in years. You can use MRV with a Premiere but it won't be able to stream. No discount for reactivating.
Reactivating TivoHD, some questions..
So I've finally had it with DISH Network, since they have cancelled the Sling Extender. I would love to go to DirecTV, but their Tivo is crippled so I think I'm actually going to go back to cable. I have a Tivo HD I used for a while when in college and have some questions I hope you guys can answer:
1. What is the max software the TivoHD will work with? I assume it won't get the full Premier software, but will it work with the iPad app? Can I do multi-room viewing between a premier and a TivoHD? Will it do Netflix/Pandora/whatever?
2. Do I get a discount on the monthly service if I reactivate this box (which fulfilled it's committment years ago) instead of buying a new one? If so, and I buy a premier and activate it on multi-discount, do I have to pay full price for the new Tivo?
I think right off the bat I'm just going to go with one Tivo and use some HDMI extenders for multi-room, but eventually I might want to demote the TivoHD to the bedroom and get a new Tivo for the living room.

Thanks. Got in touch with Tivo and service is only $12.95 and you can apply multi-dvr discounts to a new Tivo if this is the primary, so a TivoHD + Premier would be $12.95+$14.95.
Is the TivoHD compatible with the iPad app?
Its partly compatible, just cannot view shows and some other functions, but the remote works.Is the TivoHD compatible with the iPad app?

Except if he did actually cancel the HD, he would lose the MSD on the Premiere. The Premiere would go up to $19.99/month and become the MSD qualifying box. Resubbing the HD would be $9.95.Keep the HD for a while then call to cancel it and see if you can get the $99 lifetime deal.
