I have an old Roamio lying around, and would like to start using it again. I did harvest the hard drive out of it though, so I'd need to replace it. Would I want a 3.5" SATA 3 drive to replace it, and can I just drop it in and let the Tivo do it's thing? Also, what's the current monthly price for Tivo? I can't remember if OTA only makes any difference or not?

Yes, just drop in a <=3TB drive in and it will make it work. >3TB would need more work with a Windows PC and MSFR.

If you had Lifetime/All-in service, you don't need to ponder about the price of it. Even though you would be paying $15/month or what is currently for yearly, Its way too much. Lifetime will always be cheaper in the long run.

The Western Digital Red series or Purple series, (not the Red Pro series) 5400 rpm drives that are 3TB or smaller work great in the Roamio OTA. The TiVo prepares the hard drive for you when it is first powered on with the new drive.
