I cut the cord recently with my cable company. I pulled out my old Tivo Roamio out of the closet and reactivated the unit. I did a factory reset on the unit to wipe out my old settings and recordings. My Tivo Roamio froze and crashed when I hit the fast forward button while in a recording. It has done this once so far is their any software bugs currently that would cause that behavior.

You are correct I am using an indoor amplified antenna and have my Tivo connected to my cable internet service which is 400/20 which should be enough speed for it to communicate to Tivo's servers.
How old is the hard drive? The first Roamio basic was released in 2013. You could hook the hard drive up to PC and run crystal disk free software to check the health of the drive. You might want to replace the hard drive. The Roamio will format a new drive automatically up to 3TB. Check this forum for suggested hard drives.

There are umpteen threads on Roamio HDD replacement but check this recent one, particularly the drive recommendation starting at post #2:
failing drive?
Or search for threads in the Roamio sub-forum using "hard drive" as the search term.
