Here's the scoop:
Used an RCA40 Image on a new 120GB HD. Image upgraded software-wise from 3.1.alphabet-soup to the 6.1/2V8,1/2vodka via phone call. However, image was somehow corrupt in that it's background was not showing up.
So, I put the original hard drive back in almost 2 weeks ago now and it has still not upgraded from the 3.1.alphabet-soup to ANYTHING.
I've forced phone calls, I've waited for the machine to call in on its own, I've restarted the system more times than I can remember, I've changed phone numbers, I've redone the guided setup, I've redone the satellite connection setup, the only thing that is left is a clear and delete everything.
My question is, why will the software not upgrade on its own? Shouldn't it be checking every single time the unit calls in to see what version of the software is being reported?
Dunno if this is in the right forum or if it should be put in the underground, but it's directivo-related so I figured I'd give this a try and the mods can move if necessary.
Thanks for ANY help you can provide...
