There are some directv universal remotes that won't work. If it is compatible, try 01442.
RC32 Remote Control Code For R10
Anyone know the code that works for the RC32 remote control for an R10 DirecTV Tivo unit.

I am glad you posted this! I just bought the RC32 as a universal remote for my R10, and the codes in the manual did not work. This one however, DID work, thanks.
You have a choice of 01442 & 01142, and on the av1 or av2 devices codes 20618 & 20739. All are address zero.
