What should you do with your subscription?
It depends on how long you've had your Tivo. If you activated service after Sept. 6, '05 you have to have service for 12 continuous months or you get penalized with a big fee. If You've had the subscription for longer than that you can cancel the subscription and then just start a new one when you get back. However, when you start a new subscription you will be committing to 12 months of service. So you may just want to pay for the sub while your gone and not using it anyway.

What should you do with the Tivo itself?
Unplug it.

I don't want to cancel my service with TIVO. just want to know what to do with the DVR for 2 month's . I figure i'll just unpung it till i return??

I was just covering the bases because you weren't specific, because most people wouldn't need to ask the question you wanted answered.
