It seems the only way for you to tell what HD size your bolt is seeing or using is by what the bolt is saying is has for "Recording Capacity" in System Information.. or is there another way to see what the bolt has?

and with my 5TB its saying 92 hours. what does yours say? (please mention what size of drive you installed and what recording capacity your bolt reports)

Personally, i was expecting much more, and am not sure its seeing the whole drive... So i could use the help.

That's because 3TB is the highest default drive size on a Tivo and they format drives up to that size automatically.

Are you saying you have a 5TB drive that fits inside the Bolt? A 2.5" drive? Is it an SSD? Or are you perhaps referring to a model of Seagate 3TB BarraCuda 5400 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" 15mm Internal Hard Drive ST3000LM024 - Newegg.com

Looks like that is available up to 5TB. Guess I've been out of the loop. I thought 2.5" internal drives above 2TB were in short supply after the 3TB Hitatchi (what I've got) was discontinued.
