Could someone with a TiVo Edge on their account please tell me something?

In your online account settings under "Device Preferences", how are the "video downloads" and "enable video downloads" categories listed? Do they both just say "N/A" or are there selectable check boxes for each category?

Trying to trace down the reason why my Edge (an OTA type) won't accept or send programs over transfer to other DVRs. And I thought the cause might be that my Edge for some reason is wrongly listed on my account as N/A in those two categories instead of having check boxes like all my other DVRs do (two Roamio OTAs and a Bolt).

But TiVo tech support which is totally stumped so far on this issue, told me that it is normal for the Edge to show "N/A" for those two categories..

my Edge has those options checked.

only my Minis have N/A

Ahhh ok ....

Thanks, just as I suspected ....

I don't even have the option to check them on mine. As they both just read N/A which must be the root of my problem of it not allowing program transfers.

The clueless tech support rep. said that was normal for the Edge .... Bull ....

My Mini and a TiVo Steam (for the Roamios) correctly read N/A as well.

In case you need a second response, mine is N/A for the minis and check marked for the Edge.

Again, just as I suspected yet TiVo continues to insist it's normal for the Edge to read N/A for these two categories. In spite of the fact that they can't answer why other Edge users on TCF here accounts don't read that way. Nor have they been able to solve the transfer problem any other way.

For the past 7 days they've had me go through all manner of useless "reboots," "resets," and "connect to TiVo service," hell on the Edge and my home network gateway and switches. Again even though I keep telling them the problem is not with the box or my home network, but on their end.

Sheesh ....
