PyTivo no longer works now that I updated computer

Hi all, for years, I've used pyTivo to watch movies that were on my (old) Mac desktop. I've recently updated my computer that can now handle the current OS, but now pyTivo is no longer compatible. I've tried going the Apple way and uploading to iCloud and/or watching via Airplay but eventually, the audio gets out of sync with the video (very annoying, and something I have to investigate with an Apple CS forum) ). Is there a current software that works like pyTivo did?

I have a Tivo Bolt.

Try cTiVo on your Mac. It's better, and supports the latest version of macOS.

Does cTivo support transferring back to a TiVo? I believe that's the feature she was looking for.

Oh, didn't realize that. I don't think it can do that...

Unfortunately I'm not able to update pyTivo Desktop for Mac easily. I was using a VM to build it before and I can no longer get that VM to run. (not sure why)

If you're technically inclined you can still install python and run pyTivo manually, but it takes a bit of work to set up.

I saw this and tried it, but might not work with the Bolt. At least it wasn't able to find it. I tried doing it manually but entered the IP address but I'm clueless about ports and other info it needs.

And to clarify what I'm looking for - I want to be able to watch movies on my television that are on my desktop. With pyTivo all I had to do is go to MYSHOWS -->DEVICES--> TIVO RECORDING to watch them.

pyTivo is the only option for that as far as I'm aware.

You could decrypt the files you have and load them into Plex, then stream them to your TiVo. TivoLibre is the best decryption tool for that.
Plex worked as another option, thank you Dan and everyone else that chimed in!
IMO, Plex sux compared to pytivo.py

I run the old pytivo.py python version on my Windows and Linux boxes, to transfer programs from my Laptop/Workstation/Server _to_ my TiVos (all running TE3, Roamio and Bolt, 3TB each). No XP with a mac product. As your XP, they just show up (after I've configured them) in the Devices menu. e.g. as xwRaid, zSamHDD, etc,

You just have to have an old version of python installed. And I don't think it works with TiVos on TE4.
