Hi...

Since TiVo Desktop won't transfer recordings from my new TiVo Edge, I'm looking for an alternative. I like the interface for pyTivo, but I have a question about the file name it creates. What is the number at the end of the file name? It can be something like this... (˄240_0). And, is there a way for it not to be generated in the first place?

That is telling you how many TS errors the file has and the attempt number. (zero based index) There is an option to disable it in settings.
