Yes, they are an authorized Directv and Tivo reseller. They are sometimes a bit pricey and usually offer free shipping. You can also buy through DVRupgrade. Products differ slightly form each web-retailer.

I have purchased both units & upgrade parts from weaknees & while they are somewhat pricey, I have always received excellent services and goods from them. Not to mention that I don't have to use the crap receivers that DTV gives out and don't have to extend my service for another two years.

Bought new, bigger drive. Not cheap but great experience.
Ditto. Bought two with 6.2a software. Installed 7/2/07. 6.3e update late August. Both units nothing but trouble since. Last night I removed the 6.3e contaminated 320GB drive and replaced it with the original (7/6/04) 40 GB Maxtor drive with 6.2a software.

Today the 6.3e contaminated 160 GB was replaced with the original (9/17/04) 40 GB Western Digital drive with the 6.2a software.

When users of this forum have blessed the software upgrade that will soon follow 6.3e I will swap out the 40s for new larger drives, connect the phone lines to get the update. And if it don't work, back to 40 GB and 6.2a.
