You cannot adjust the clock manually. You'll have to make a connection to the mothership. Most dorms have internet; have you considered getting a turbonet card to connect?
PTV 300-Life time sub-Adjust time w/out fone
I have a PTV 300 with a lifetime subscription. For what ever reason I can not resolve the phone line issues with my dorm-I guess no data can be transfered. I want to record shows manually on a recurring schedule according to time and channel. My Tivo clock is 30 minutes fast. How do I adjust the tivo clock manually? Thanks in advance!

There might be some backdoors. Yuo can also do it with BASH shell. IF you are going to the length of a serial cable to do BASH, you might as well do serial PPP.
