At least he has the decency to schedule his talk now, before the new TV season kicks off. Can you imagine the uproar if he interfered with the "laid out months in advance" new program rollout? And all the spreadsheet grids we so lovingly created!

He will begin talking right at the beginning of Big Brother here in the Mountain Time Zone.
CBS hasn't stated how they'll handle the speech yet, whether they'll interrupt or do a stop down and recue after the speech and push everything back 15-20 minutes.
Eastern/Central should be fine, along with Pacific.
Mountain is the only one that is up in the air at this time.

Expect the speech to be live of course. I would think that they could mess with the schedule since there are mostly repeats on. In other words put Big Brother since it is not a repeat on at 9 PM Central time.
I just hope the guide data is up to date so I can catch my half an hour of network news.

For once it pays to be on East Coast I guess. Big Brother (for those in other time zones and the presidential speech overlaps) will be airing after in its entirety. President is expected to speak for 15-20 min and CBS will try to wrap up and get back to scheduling shortly after he is done. Good luck to those affected by this.

As with anything "live", there's no way to guarantee how long the speech will go. If you want to record the programs scheduled tonight, you should schedule it manually and add padding generously.
