It's possible your lineup no longer exist. If you look ahead in the guide and see you are running out of guide data in a few days then you need to run guided setup and choose the new lineup.
The channel lineups are the same on both boxes guide and on my local schedule on comcast website. no hint of any changes from comcast. I was wondering if anyone else got this message.I think ill wait it out for awhile.

They may appear the same but there are situations where they have the same name but are different. And in a few cases Tribune has deleted lineups and created new ones when channel changes are coming.

All you have to do is check your guide for guide data. You will not lose any recordings unless you let it run out.
I read around here recently that one of the cable companies changed the name of one of their line-up packages.
The result was the Tivo was still looking for the old line-up when it called in.
Because the line-up "no longer existed", the user experienced the effect of running out of guide data.
Re-doing guided setup fixed his/her problem.

Instead of re-doing Guided Setup, you might try just re-doing the "Channels I Receive" setting (although your model may call it something else).
I'm with Comcast Atlanta, and unbeknown to me, Comcast changed the name of the lineup, and it caused problems with the Tivo guide(many channels ran out of guide data). Repeating guided setup corrected the problem.

It took about an hour for my Tivo HD(fully loaded 2 TB of shows) to complete the process. I use cable and antenna a sources, and probably a good 20 minutes of that hour was spent scanning for ota channels. There are very many ota stations in this area.

If you look at mainly the popular broadcast networks, you may not notice any issues(yet). But if you look at a lot of the Premium and higher numbered stations, I suspect you will eventually experience some changes. Hopefully you won't get any unexpected surprises, like missed shows you were expected to be recorded.

Just check to see if your lineup has changed names, by whatever it takes. If the name or lineup has changed, you probably need to repeat guided set up, eventually.

If you go to the channel list under settings and hit enter, it should let you change your cable lineup without changing your ota lineup.
ok,I did guided setup and nothing changed.kind of what I expected, but I tried all possibilities and suggestions first.guide runs to 11/22 as before.I never got the same message on my older tivo hd.thank you all for your ideas.
Perhaps try calling TiVo?

I had this happen last year (scenario, not the message). If they have now figured out a way to message what is happening other than just having a guide data running out message, all the better.

So you redid guided setup and you're still getting the message that you need to redo guided setup?

Call TiVo.
No,the message is gone.guess I should have said that, huh.I was mostly curious why I didnt get it on my tivo hd also.if the message wasnt so annoying I might have left it alone to see if anything did happen. It was just so different than the usual "tivo ha detected a change in your lineup". also, tivo repeats setup after a power outage, anyway. we have had a few lately here on cape cod.

TiVo repeats the Guided Setup after a power outage? Not for me it doesn't...

Maybe I misunderstood. Has anyone else seen this happen?
update to"repeat guided setup asap"mesage.finally got notified by comcast that 2 channels would be trading places in their lineup.so now tivos message makes sense. i dont watch either channel, but thanks to tivo anyway.
