% of drive space used on XL 4 has disappeared. Tried rebooting, reconnecting with TiVo and pressing A on remote w/no change. Strangely, when viewing shows recorded on this box on another box via multi-room viewing, % of drive space used on xl4 shows and seems accurate. Suggestions/ideas?

Thanks, I either don’t know how to do this or something is amiss. Looks like you go to settings-display and choose menu option? Under display I only have
Channel Banner
Closed Captioning and
Lights on front of TiVo Box

Appears DisplaY>choose TiVo menus>TiVo with HD menus has Disappeared????

Holy cow I think this solved my problem. Last night on the Tivo.com site I saw on the 'Privacy Status' that I was 'opted in'. I clicked to 'opt out'. Apparently that turned off 'enable video downloads'. I would never have made that connection myself. Thank you for your answer. And FINE, I will 'opt in'.

Tivo P4XL reverted back to Tivo UI from 10+ years ago?

BINGO!!!! Yesno's diagnosis was the answer. Makes absolutely no sense that privacy settings affect menu options. Thanks for the help!!

It's always been the case, if you set your privacy settings to "opt-out" you're forced to SD menus, apparently HD menus have some information gathering in them
