Premier or Premier XL?

I am finally thinking about going for a Premier.

Is the differences between a Premier and Premier XL worth the $200 price difference??

With the XL you get more recording capacity, the glo-remote and THX certification / calibration video. The XL can record up to 150 hours in HD versus 45 on the regular Premiere. The cost difference is justified if you want the extra recording capacity and you don't want to mess around with adding a larger hard drive to the Premiere. Sometimes you can find a refurbished XL on Woot or TiVo's site for less $$$.
To me, not worth it. You can easily upgrade the drive yourself for less (and have a backup out of it).

To you? Depends.

As RangerOne says, $200 isn't unreasonable for the added features of the Premiere XL. OTOH, if you aren't afraid of computer hardware and don't mind having to "mess around with adding a larger hard drive", you can end up with a 2TB Premiere for about the same money. Peruse this thread and decide.

To me? No.
