i just do the restore series 2 image to my TCD24004A 40g drive and the restore process is done good,umount ,jump to master and place back the drive to tivo,but just hear one click on hard drive and just stay at Welcome.powering up...Any idea please.

How old is the drive? Probably needs replacing.

IDE (drive) Cable, TiVo Power Supply, Wrong/Bad image for your model TiVo.
Can I assume that the reason for replacing the drive is that something went bad?

As a long shot try putting the jumper in the CS position.
