Play HD home movies with Tivo HD

Is it possible to play HD home movies downloaded from HD camcorder on the Tivo HD using the Home Media features?

That feature isn't supported, and TivoPony specifically said that it wouldn't be available when Tivo to Comeback is switched on in November.

This would be an awesome feature, especially with the Blueray/Hd-DVD format war going on at the moment. People with HD Camcorders and HD Tivos could watch their home movies without purchasing potentially "soon to be obsoleted" hardware for their living rooms

or you could just plug your camcorder into your tv to watch them...

I do this, or I play them on a Mac Mini I have in my home theater arsenal. Main issue is encoding choice, much easier to put it back on tape after editing and play using the camcorder.
