The poll would be more informative is there were separate votes for "no pixellation - with cable cards installed" and "no pixellation - no cable cards installed". In fact you should have separate options for "no pixellation - SA card", "No Pixellation - Motorola".

I thought I was one of the lucky Tivo HD owners that experienced no problems. I didn't have the CC 2 pixelation problem. Lately, I have noticed minor but recurring pixelation in my HD shows (I have 2 motorolla cable cards from comcast). I've only had pixelation maybe five times in the last 14 months with the comcast dvr. Now I see it at least once an hour. I trust Tivo will fix the problem, but I hope they see this poll to realize it is a problem.

I have the same problem on Verizon FiOS (using Motorola CableCards). I'm seeing brief pixelization anywhere from once to 10+ times per hour, depending on the channel and content.

Sometimes the pixelization only affects a small part of the screen, other times it affects the whole screen. In each case, it only lasts a few frames, i.e. fractions of a second.

I had no such pixelization with the Verizon DVR (or the Tivo Series3, when I had it) in the past year.

Update: I just wanted to clarify that this is random pixelization. The pixelization is not on the recordings. If i instant replay / rewind, I do not see the pixelization again.

I had the "slot 2" problem, which the update remedied. However, I do receive intermittent pixelation (including in the menu once in awhile). Megazone, on his tivolovers.com blog has stated that Tivo is aware of this issue. I find the problem to be a nuisance and would like to see a fix soon.

TWC installed my Motorola cablecards today. So far NO PIXELLATION! Not even after repeated "Instant Replays".

Previously my High Def came via a cheap indoor antenna. I was getting occassional pixellation then, but I'm sure that was just due to OTA reception issues. I've never had menu pixellation.

I do notice that my HD quality isn't as crystal clear as it was with my OTA antenna. But that's TWC's fault not Tivo's.

I don't fit your poll at all, m-card installed but only get pixelation on 1 channel (24- halmark). Since it's just 1 channel and it doesn't happen all the time, seems to be afternoon/evenings. I don't think it's my box or my card. I think it's an issue from my provider up the line somewhere.
