I have a Humax Tivo with DVD. I just bought it this past October to replace an older Tivo without DVD. This is hooked into Comcast digital cable. I have a pretty consistent problem with the picture pixelating (breaking up). I had the problem with a lesser degree on the non-DVD Tivo.
The cable picture when by-passing the TIVO box is perfect. Going through the box, fogettaboutit. It is recording shows in this pixelated fashion because it burns DVDs with the pixelation in it.
My first Tivo box was perfect for about a year before the pixelation occured. With the new one, it was immediate.
I am looking for thoughts on how to diagnose this. Is it the box? Is it the cable connection from the cable to the Tivo? Is there something I am missing here?
Thanks.
