Hi Guys,
My TiVo has not been able to make calls for the last couple of weeks it seems. (Why did it take me so long to notice you may ask)

Anyway checked the phone line all is well, it dials but appears to fail to connect while negotiating, says cannot connect.

Are there any issues at the moment or has my modem died ? (lots of T storms about)

Any suggestions much appreciated......

After it has dialled the number you could try picking up a phone in your home to see if it is making modem noises or some pre-recorded message e.g. "Number not in service"

Do you have a normal BT phone service or is it with another provider?

Thanks for the reply, have tried this and yes its making modem type noises.

Im with onebilltelecom for years without a problem.

I may have located the issue, my broadband router modem, which was not a problem before and Im confused as to whats going on.... disconnect broadband modem and its OK. Ive not changed anything in the last 6 months so why its a problem now I dont know :confused:

So update TiVo once per week by unplugging broadband !! Hmmmmmm
