Nearly full 3TB Premiere drive. Want to keep settings/pairing/season passes. No recordings. To a 1TB drive. Two ways to do I guess. Do a backup, then a restore? What would be the exact commands for that, no recordings needed? The other way is MFS copy. That is what I tried already. With the -s option only. It worked, but kinda copied the recordings. 1TB drive shows full, but none of the recordings are watchable, all say something about was not able to record. Which is fine, but I had to hand delete 633 recordings.
What would be the "recommended" way of doing it? What I did seems to have worked, once I deleted the non functional recordings. This is fun, I am using a 2 tuner Premiere. Was being used OTA only, since I can get free cable cards from Comcast now I put one in. So now cable and OTA at the same time. Great around Chicago, I get a lot of OTA channels, good number not on Comcast. And of course much Comcast not on OTA. EVERYTHING in Chicago area pretty much, on one Tivo. 2 tuners not the best but as far as I know the 2 tuner Premiere the last Tivo than can be used OTA and cable at the same time.
