Original Mini Vox remote is dead. New batteries…no lights, nothing. I ordered a new remote, but can’t seem to wrap my head around pairing this new remote to the mini, since I can’t navigate the TiVo menu and get the mini into pairing mode.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

What you will want to do is temporarily set your remote to IR (Infrared) mode. All TiVo's (and Mini's) can see all TiVo remotes in IR mode. Then, once you can get into the menu on your Mini, you can pair the remote with the Mini in RF (Radio Frequency) mode. There is a good chance your current remote will still work in IR mode. Here are the instructions for switching between IR and RF mode.

Really appreciate the clarification. I thought the was the approach based on what I was seeing, but just needed the extra push. Will try this weekend to get this sorted.

Thanks again
