Over the weekend I helped my brother pair his Series 2 with his Comcast (General Instruments) cable box. The TiVo now changes the channel on CATV box via serial cable.
Question for those with a GI cable box. My brother obviously no longer needs the channel description window from the GI box that pops up when the channel is changed, since the TiVo onscreen guide is far better. But we can't figure out how to get rid of it or even minimize it !
I thought I read in these forums, awhile ago, that there was a way to defeat the GI guide. Can't find it though. Any help guys?
