Overlay or Ticket App

This would be awesome!!! Especially during football season.

that is exactly what i am talking about. would love for tivo to have that.

When you say "bottom of the screen", do you mean overlaying it over the bottom part of the picture, where everybody already puts everything, or moving the bottom edge of the picture up and putting in that now empty space?

personally i would like it at the bottom off the screen. I would rather see my ticker then the one on the TV (which the option to turn mine off).

but your idea works to just moving the picture.

In the HME startup days, this feature was requested by many 3rd party developers. It would have been awesome and sparked a lot of good apps.

TiVo reply was that there were issues overlaying the playing video with other graphics. so they would have to bump the picture up some and someone would have to think of a clever remote code combo to turn the HME scrolling on and off but i also agree this would be well worth it to give us a customizable scroll. Fantasy sport stats alone would likely sell some more TiVo DVRs.
