Hell, going by the title it's a direct continuation of Orphan Black!

I've always thought of it as more of a spinoff. I don't see why someone can't make references to the original series since it's been almost 7 years since that show ended.

I've never heard of Orphan Black....but now that TiVo picked up this show, I'll probably watch the OG as well.

Orphan Black is worlds better. IMO, one of the best shows ever. In large part because of the almost impossibly good lead performance(s) by Tatiana Maslany.

I went back and found the thread for Orphan Black S1E1. Here was my post from Mar 31, 2013:

Decent pilot. Kept me hooked. Curious to see where the writers take it. Liked the main characters too, appears to be well cast.

Kira says "Aunt Cosima" at the end, and then you see pictures of her as a kid. Anybody that has seen Orphan Black will know who she is, and anyone that hasn't will recognize her the first time they see her if they ever end up watching it.

Even though Kira didn't explicitly say, "Hi Aunt Cosima, this is your sister Sarah's daughter Kira," I feel like enough information was shared that it should be considered part of Echoes.

It looks like maybe TiVo changed the series ID so it broke the One Pass.

So we get to see Uncle Felix!! That was cool. And we know more about what Kira is doing and that there are definitely more clones. So far I'm hooked, if for nothing else, the continued tie ins with the original.

No problems with recording on my DirecTV HRxx. I think perhaps since this isn't a first run internationally but is here, the guide data got hosed? I always run through my ToDo list on Sunday nights to see if everything is recording and to check for conflicts. I've caught instances like what happened to you before by doing that.

It didn't record for me Sunday night. I hadn't realized that it had aired in Australia last year, so the system apparently considers them repeats rather than new. Easy enough to fix, and fortunately it airs multiple times a week on both AMC and BBC America.

Yep - Ep2 is available on BBCA-HD, but somehow the OnePass did not see AMC-HD as a viable alternative, & did not record.
But Ep2 will air Sunday at 12:33 Am or some such, and Ep 3 should air at 10PM.
This morning I reset my One Pass to record it in HD on ALL Channels.
Think I had a similar problem on AMC-HD (FIOS 731) last spring with Monsieur Spade ...

I think it's more than that. I think the SeriesID changed which would mean a new OnePass would be needed.

I think it changed before the 2nd episode aired but the change hasn't impacted next Sunday's BBC rerun.

I was able to create a 2nd OnePass, which shouldn't be possible.

So I don't think just change the OP to ALL channels is enough. You may need a whole new OP.

I agree with all of that, to the point where I didn't recognize Felix as a result. They even made a behind the scenes video of him being made up! They were proud of it.

Watched the OG twice, a year or so apart. Didn’t realize Echoes was on until after episode 2. Found a discount code for 30 day trial of AMC+. I thought I could binge the whole thing but NO. It’s a weekly release & the last five episodes don’t air until November. I hope the TiVo captures all of the episodes. I’ll binge this winter.

Not sure why, but Orphan Black Echoes first dropped, all episodes, Nov 3rd, 2023 on an Australian streaming service called Stan. The U.S. release is weekly on AMC running from June 23 to Aug 25.
