He stole the implicating shoes from Ron Howard. He has 20/10 vision. He stole Sazz's idea for the movie. Glen Stubbins earlier recognized him (from when he was a stuntman) and asked him about his new beard. The flame retardant vest Sazz gave Marshall had "tinsel" hanging from it like what was found in Dudenoff's apartment. We witnessed him smothering Glen after the nurse called Sazz's phone and told them Glen was awake. We'll probably find out he was another Dudenoff student and knew the access code to the apartment.

The bartender guy has to be involved also. He sounds like the person who answered Sazz's phone in episode one. I think he showed up to the hospital to kill Glen but aborted after he ran into the podcaster trio. Somebody is in the process of covering their criminal tracks (the cleanup crew laundry guy with ties to the Caputo crime family is missing). I wouldn't be surprised if Marshall and/or Jan Bellows gets murdered in the building in the finale.

We still don't know who the partner(s) is. They made it clear a couple episodes back that it would take two people, one to shoot, one to clean up.
They kind of implied in the last episode it was the laundry cleanup crew with ties to the mob. They showed the cleanup truck during the closing credits. When the nurse told Mabel that Glen is dead there was a background news report on the TV that the owner of the laundry cleanup crew business is missing.

Mixed bag.

Obviously we knew coming in that Marhsall was the killer. I think they played fair with the revelation that there was no second person. We knew by now that he was a stuntman, we've seen plenty of shots of the building facade, and of course it was Marshall himself who planted the idea that it must have been a two-person job.

Didn't much like Marshall explaining everything to us. The "talking killer" plot device generally means things weren't adequately set up along the way for all the pieces to snap into place by themselves.

Not sure how I feel about Jan saving the day or the silly revelation that she has been living in the closet and walls for weeks. It's fine that Charles and Oliver couldn't quite pull off the Mabel rescue because that's not who they are, but putting Jan there feels like a Hail Mary ending to that plot. And she has become quite a cartoon over the four seasons.

Wow, Tea Leoni looks great. Obviously we'll be seeing more of her next season. Quite a dame, indeed.

They completely dropped the whole "I'm watching you" cellphone message subplot. That couldn't have been Marshall. Unless it ties into the whole "fishy stuff has been happening since the beginning" business, and perhaps Lester's death, and we'll learn more next season.

The show remains surprisingly good at earnest moments. I'm not sure I buy Streep/Short as a couple, but they play it sweetly. I thought Martin's resolve to not wimp out and avenge Sazz and save Mabel was moving, oddly. And the warmth of the three of them at the wedding and after never gets old.

Why did the trio find the body and not Gravey? This is a dereliction of duty on Gravey's part!

But did Marshall explain everything to us? How could that small-framed guy get tall Sazz down to the incinerator without anyone noticing? How did he even know about the incinerator and that it was a viable way to get rid of dead bodies?

We knew Jan liked poisoning people but who knew she was such a good shot and would have a rifle handy?

All the murder victims are people who have been criming or trying to investigate and expose the criming, most recently the former. So what does that say about Lester?

My thought about the "I'm Watching You." is that it was Lester, or at least he knew who it was because he let them in. Not many other people would have had access to all the apartments to plant the cameras. Perhaps Lester's murder, and the Dry Cleaning King's disappearance, are part of one big effort to cover everything up.

IIRC he (or someone else) said he used the garbage chute.

OK. But maybe he was covering up some details for the mob. Charles just assumed she went down the garbage chute and Marshall went with it. Maybe Marshall was the standard trope of being a mob hitman who wants to get out of that business and get a career in the movies. He had the skills. His father told him, "You're a killer, not a writer."

The show has gotten very tropy and this season they brought in the stars to get more people to watch. That's fine, I'm guessing some of these people or friends of the main cast or just wanted to be on the show. It's still a fun watch no matter how dumb some of the plot can be and I can forgive a lot of it on a comedy. It's still better than most other stuff on TV these days. Looking forward to the next season.

I've always liked Tea Leone, since her old Fox sitcom like 30 years ago and then on her ABC show where she played the president. Is she still married to David Duchoveny?

Close. Téa Leoni.

Close. CBS show Madam Secretary

Close. She divorced David Duchovny in 2014, and married Tim Daly, her husband on Madam Secretary. They are still married.

On the first one, I got the name right, just didn't use the accent. I'm not even sure how to get the accent on my computer keyboard. And don't really care.

Yes CBS.

Third was a question, so close doesn't matter.

Thanks for the correction on number 2 though. Got the network wrong. I was confusing it with the Kiefer Sutherland show on ABC.

“Designated Survivor”, which was on ABC but moved to Netflix for its third and final season ;)
