On The Lot OAD 8/7/07 SPOILERS

Well farewell to everyone's favorite F/X guru Zach. I wasn't too surprising given his last 2 films. Kinda weird that they put together a little montage of him crying and some candids of him shooting his various films.

I'm liking Will to win now. Sam's next to go. His movie was terrible. Jason's was pretty bad too. Adam's was good too.

I still say it was surprising because Jason has made only one good film, one or two mediocre ones, and a crapload of bad ones, including this week. Wasn't last week the one with jerry o'connell and the prank? That one was god awful.

Adam and Will are the only ones left who deserve to win it. Their work has been quite good consistently.

And exactly what happened to Jerry O'Connell anyhow? Remember when he was going to be in one movie each week? Ah, those were the days.
Well, I'm done with teh show. None of the others hekd a candle to Zach...

Season Pass Deleted....
Same here. I have a very nasty feeling that Jason is going to win. I think he has both the ******* AND the hip-hop votes nailed down. How else can you explain his remaining in while making such crappy movies?

Disagree... Zach was great early but I believe that Adam has been stronger lately, and even when zach was great, adam was good.
Oh, this show laid a stinker in it's first two episodes ... I've been watching the clips which have been good, but it's almost a wonder that this show didn't get canceled along the way. I won't miss this show, but no reason to delete the season pass .. There's only two episodes left.
I like the general idea of this show. If they have a season 2, maybe it'll have better filmmakers audition now that they know this type of show exists.
Of course the directors this season aren't that bad considering I couldn't do what they do.
The directors seem much, much better than the people they got for project greenlight.
I don't think the director contestants are bad, but the shows directors were horrible this season. This show was all over the place for the first 4 weeks or so.

As for this episode, I thought Adam's kinda sucked until I realized it was a doll house type thing. At first I thought it was some weird film like what Kenny did in his movies. I thought this was the best one of the night. I didn't really like the tagline so I didn't find the movies that interesting to begin with.

Anyone else notice F. Gary Gray whenever Adrianna was standing next to him, he was checking her out big time.

There were other people on the screen?

Wouldn't you? :D She's reason enough alone that this show should be in HD.
I was sad to see Zach go. I didn't think the first of his two-parter was very good, but I thought the second part redeemed it. He certainly should have stayed in place of Sam, but ultimately that won't matter since Sam will be gone after this week.

I'd like to see Will win. I've found his movies to be very well done the entire time, while the others have mostly been uneven.

My vote for final two is between Will and Adam.

hopefully jason will go this week!
I love this show and have been watching all season. It is amazing how a well done short film can go by so fast, while a clunker makes 2 1/2 minutes feel interminable.

Don't cry for Zach...he will be making movies after all of the attention he got here. Thankfully someone else will write those for him.

Adam has been "Steady Eddy" throughout...good films with flashes of inspiration.

The show was supposed to have 2 eps a week American Idol style with the second being a results show. Ratings were so poor the first few weeks that the results show was pulled and Adrianna got to let someone go at the beginning of the next week's episode. They could not cancel the show because they had committed to the prize and legally had to award it, so you might as well air the show. Also they couldn't risk alienating either Dreamworks or Speilberg because they still have a network to run and might want a show produced by either Speilberg or Dreamworks. This is called taking one for the team.

That's the problem with letting the general public decide these things. The judges should have votes that counts for some percentage, say 10% each, and the public gets the rest. That way good contestants are not penalized for not having motivated fan bases that could care less about the quality of the work.
I live in Miami and Adam has friends in Coconut Grove that have put signs in the window of every business imploring people to vote for him. He has been good and deserves support on his merits, but a campaign like that does not hurt.

While I think they stop at the final 3, I agree that one of these two should win.

Why did everyone think "Army Guy" was some sort of triumph in originality? Am I the only person who ever saw a Twilight Zone episode where they pretty much did the same thing?

(Somebody finds himself in a large cylindrical room with no roof, with four other people of various vocations, including a clown and a ballerina, and an incredibly loud bell; when the man manages to make his way to the top and looks over the side, he can't believe what he sees, but falls over before he can tell anybody...at which point they pull back to reveal that one of the five used dolls that a street corner collector (ringing a bell) had been given up to that point had somehow fallen out of the collection pot.)

No, you're not. I thought of that immediately too.

I think I sort of agree with you (though I really enjoyed the first greenlight movie, and the second was decent.. the third was BOOORRRING)...

but I think Project Greenlight as a show was MUCH MUCH more interesting.
