did anyone else watch it? I basically knew everything that happened in the pilot from what was said on the signal podcast but still really liked it. I didn't know the guy from Jake 2.0 was in it. I'm looking forward to future episodes.

I watched it last year on HDNet in beautiful hi-def and uncensored. I liked it then and am rewatching the cut up, bleeped out version on Scifi.

Did it actually cut content, or just the audio. When the Sci-Fi channel said that they were going to show Odyssey 5, I knew from having seen it previously that the language would NEVER get by on that channel. I knew that they would have to mess with the dialog, a lot, but did they cut actual content, that is, time, from the episode. It was only part one of the pilot, so they might have had to mess with it a bit to make it into a coherent single hour episode.

I missed the Pilot Part 1 last Friday because of two other shows I "had" to record in that time slot. I don't see any rebroadcast but my SP is picking up the rest of the shows on Friday night SciFi. Anyone know where I can pick up the Pilot Part 1 (other than Torrents)?

I just saw the second episode, and while I think it's a decent show, I'm wondering if I've been oversold by some of the glowing reviews posted here. (I'll avoid posting spoilers since I don't know if this is a spoiler thread)

There wasn't anything exceptional about the plot. Lots of the usual "you've got to believe me" stuff that's associated with any story that places characters in exceptional circumstances, and a pretty ho-hum detective/action script.

I was disappointed by the final scene that gives us a (mostly inscrutable) hint at what the bad guys are about. I think it would have been better for the viewers to discover what's going on solely through the perspective of the Odyssey 5 crew, rather than having special information given to the viewer only. I understand why that scene is there - a hook to keep viewers interested - but it felt kind of cheap to me.

And all the bleeping to cut out the profanity is REALLY annoying. ScIfi Channel is the wrong network to carry this show.

It's better than, say, Stargate Atlantis, but I'm not ready yet to put this show in the pantheon of televised science fiction.

I enjoyed it also. If they are bleeping the cuss words why did I hear a distinct F-Bomb? I have a feeling they did this. F -mute-K and that does not work on a word with a U in the middle. :)

Of course it's the wrong network to carry this show; it was originally on Showtime.
