Wondering if anyone has gotten a .Tivo file to play on one of these. Actually any Oculus device would be encouraging. Their Skybox app won't do it. Downloading the Bigscreen app now. Not interested
really in sideloading the Android Tivo app. I know how to copy the .tivo file directly to the VR's storage and would just like to play it from there.

Don't know anything about Oculus' environment, but if it's Android based, you're probably out of luck for directly playing it back. Suggest downloading the .tivo file to a pc (mac, windows, linux) and converting it (check out kmttg if you're not already aware of it) to something that will play natively on the Oculus (h.264 mp4 will probably work).

Not going to happen. Even if they were willing to find and go back through years of 3rd-party source code on tivodecode & tivolibre, they would also have to design a way to let you input the MAK from your TiVo and store it. There would also be legal concerns. TiVo doesn't really care what we develop here on our own and give away to a few hundred TCF members, but if a commercial company started cracking the encryption it would be a huge hairball of litigation for both companies. Even VideoReDo depends on the (now discontinued) TiVo Desktop for the decryption layer instead of writing their own.

And way easy/pretty quick to decrypt the .tivo file.
