No thread on this yet?

We watched it last night.

I don't know.....it just didn't have the same feel as previous seasons.

1. The whole beginning with Don replaying the confession over and over.....just too predicatible. I immediately said to my wife "It was a fake confession...he is covering for someone or working undercover."

2. The whole Colby situation shocked us at the end of the season, and it is good to know that he wasn't truely a bad guy...but the whole storyline was
confusing....he's a double agent, no, he is a triple agent......hey maybe is a quadruple agent  Just not well written.

3. They didn't really explain the characters too well....the guy who helped Colby escape and ended up dead, the Val Kilmer character, etc....it all seemed a bit rushed.

4. When Colby and his friend went down to the subway station, there was all of a sudden a large number of police officers that came down....apparently looking for them....yet, they boarded the subway with no one stopping them or questioning them....not realisitic.

5. None of the math made sense in this episode...using math could not figure out which path Colby and his friend took.....and it was common sense, not mathematics that figured out that there were Chinese cargo ships leaving the port that they might be on. The whole "trust metric" was bogus.....just a reason to throw math into the the show.

6. Charlie looked really scruffy.....more than usual. He seemed to be distracted....nothing he said really made sense to the story line.

7. Kind of tired of Larry's oddities.....sitting in a monestary...then having a conversation about a crime while other monks are meditating in the background?

It just seemed totally confusing for us...I had to pause and rewind a few times and try to figure out what happened.

It may be the last season for this show.

I tend to agree with the OP. Strange episode, almost out of character for the show. Enjoyable, but a bit disappointing and disjointed for a premiere. Hopefully, it was an attempt at going "big time" with Val and the rest of the episodes this season will be back to normal.

I'm hoping this is just part of the uncomfortable shake-up due to Colby's situation and that they are going to make some more changes whether it means losing Larry or Meagan, Don's girlfriend or whatever. I think the 3 Epps are the only non-disposable characters, so we'll see.

I catch this show occasionally in OnDemand... I've missed a few, but i did catch the last few of the season, and this opener.

The math is getting VERY stretched. Sure, you can run probabilities of the paths they would take... but its still just a guess.. Get an assumption wrong, and its WAY off.

The show is interesting on its own... stop trying to force a math angle everywhere.

The bomber plot was entertaining...

Only one I can answer. Apparently, we're meant to believe the cops were looking for two guys. When Colby and friend saw the police coming, they split up and boarded separate cars. So although two thirty-something white guys were dressed as gang-bangers, this was enough to throw off the crack LAPD.
