Now playing list question

1651 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  LlamaLarry
By some stroke of luck, on my non-HD TIVO, I was able to organize the recorded items in my now playing list by title (e.g., if I had five episodes of one series recorded, on the now playing list main menu, it only showed the series). However, I cannot figure out how to arrange that way on the my HD Tivo.

Any suggestions?

Ah, you enabled grouping. That is a feature of the 6.2 software release, and the HD TiVos don't have that yet.

The best you can do is to use the sort code to reorder the Now Playing List by title, however that will not group programs into folders like you did on your non-HD TiVo.

If you want to try it here's the info on the sort code.
While in the Now Playing List press:
Slow Motion, Zero, Record, Thumbs Up.

If this worked there should now be a block banner at the bottom of the screen informing you that you can press display for sort options. If you press 3 (or press display and select Alphabetical) then the Now Playing List will sort itself by title.
Does anyone know if you can program a Harmony 659 remote to do this with a soft key button? i.e. a macro to hit Slow/0/Rec/ThumbsUP? If so, how do I do it? Thank you for your help. It seems that this command only last a certain period of time and then you need to re-SORT.
You should only lose sorting if your box reboots. :( However your sorting option can change if you hit 1, 2 or 3 in the NPL.
