Seems about once a week when I turn on the TV the Mini 4k the screen says "Not Support" and is frozen. I have to pull the power plug and hard reboot. Then the unit will work fine for another 7 to 10 days. Anybody else having this issue?

I've seen it.

It's an HDMI Handshake issue.

Try waiting longer after turning the TV on before you wake up the Mini, or conversely, turn the Mini on first, wait several moments and then turn the TV on. Whichever might work better.

When it's "locked up" can you change inputs on the TV?

I am having a lot of trouble with Mini Vox(4k) and a Samsung 4K TV - every week or so it locks up where there is audio, but no video on playback (the menus look fine). Rebooting TV (not Tivo) fixes it. Never happens with any other device connected to that TV nor did it happen with my old Tivo Mini - there is something funky with Vox and HDMI handshakes....

There really is no power on sequence. This is a Visio in our kitchen that is on from 7am until 6:30 pm. Then the tv is turned off and I assume the Mini times out after 4 hours. The next morning we turn the tv back on. Most of the time the last channel displayed will be on in the background with the guide displayed. Occasionally the screen is dark after powering on the tv, so I push guide in the mini and then will receive the “Not Suppot” message and have to pull the power to reboot as the unit as it is frozen

I can try a different HDMI cable. I’m not sure if there is a off or sleep procedure for the Mini.

I will exercise patience next time it happens. I'll try changing inputs and see if that wakes up the mini. Tnx

Maybe check the Mini's Output Resolution?

Set it to something that's easy for the TV...probably 1080i is a good choice.

Is the HDMI Cable readily accessible? When it's "locked up", try unplugging the HDMI from the Mini for a few seconds and then plug it back in, to see if that has any effect.

I'll give that a try next time it happens. For me it's not a big deal to pull the plug and reboot, but for some reason it IS a big deal for the wife.... (;->
