Greetings,

My brother in law has a series 1, software v3.0-01-1-010. When he goes to Pick Programs to Record it says that there is no guide data. However, he can view the guide data when watching live tv.

I've gotten him to reboot a couple of times and force a call which looks like it goes fine.

He called TiVo and they said it was a hardware issue. I have trouble with this.

Any ideas?

It's drastic, and he'll lose his recordings, but sometimes a Clear and Delete Everything fixes this problem. It's not enough for there to be guide data - it also has to be indexed. Something is preventing the indexing from occurring.
