No Sound On Tivo

I have a Series2 540080 Tivo that the sound quit on. There is no sound on live tv and there are no sound effects at all. I have triple checked all the connections and I have even connected it to another tv. I even plugged a coax cable to the rf out connector and went straight to the tv. I have unplugged the power for several minutes and there is still no sound. Is there anything else that I should try or is it probably bad? Thanks.

Can we assume that when you plug the cable coax directly into the TV that you do have sound?

Try resetting the TIVO. Mine was not playing any audio when recorded shows were played back. A reboot fixed it.
