no cpu in now playing list

Start by giving everything on your home network that doesn't have to leave home and access other networks a fixed IP address instead of doing DHCP.

Can't hurt, might help.

And call it a computer (the CPU-Central Processing Unit-is the chip inside the computer that plugs into the motherboard).

Reading your message should I replace cpu with PC?
Which version of Windows are you running?

Check that "Video sharing" is checked for both DVR's at TiVo® DVR preferences

Change the firewall settings
Which network ports and IP addresses do I need open when using my TiVo box?

Another thing to consider. If you are currently using Bonjour for the discovery protocol, try using TiVo Beacon instead.

Settings are in TiVo Server Properties under the Network tab.

Also, make sure your Media Access Key is correct in the Tivo Desktop settings.

Uninstall run TiVoDesktop Cleaner then Reinstall TiVo Desktop.
