Tivo programs transferred to Vista PC will play video but no audio in Windows Media Player 11. Other media files, dvd's play audio fine.
A windows error message states "A codec is required to play this file. To determine if this codec is available to download from the Web, click Web Help."
Clicking through to Web Help brings me to a plug-in site, but after that I have no idea what to do next.
The properties associated with the tivo files that won't play audio states the audio codec is Sonic Cinemaster Audio Decoder 4.2 which I assume came as part of a Roxy package on my PC. Oddly the video codec line is blank but video plays fine.
This seems to be an old problem. Any help appreciated.
