New fun from Comcast?

Checked out my new channels now that TiVo has added the program info (HGTV, FoodHD, and got some weird things...

"Channel Not Available" on several HD channels including UHD, StarzHD, AEHD, and a couple of local HD channels (which I had been receiving fine), so I wondered if this was SDV...

Went to the diagnostics screen and the cable card tuning info said "Not Tuned: Wrong Card State" and everything else was blank (a dash '-').

So I reset my Tivo, it came back up and everything was the same, except ESPN HD gave me a "Searching for signal strength" bar at the bottom of the screen. The channels that were "Not Available" were still in the list downloaded to the cards so...?????

After a few minutes, I went back to ESPN HD and had a channel, now all the other ones that weren't working are back.

Is this an ominous test or just intermittent signal weirdness? I will call them tomorrow to discuss my bill they were 'working to fix' that is back UP HIGHER THAN IT WAS WITH THEIR DVRs (sorry).

Has anyone else seen this status (Not Tuned: Wrong Card State)?
I am curious to folks with SDV, is this what you see when you tune to a channel you can't get?

(Edited for clarity - I was a little concerned when I originally posted)

TiVo HD or S3?

I didn't have the exact same problem, but I had a similar problem when I first got my S3 up and running. Certain channels (all of the local HDs) were blocked--signal strength 0. One CSR actually tried to tell me that local HD channels were not a part of my package! It took several escalating calls to Comcast. I eventually called the 'executive assistant' which someone recommended to me on this forum (215-665-1700). The Executive Assistant sent out a competent tech who had the problem fixed in 5 minutes.

So what turned out to be the problem? Signal strength? Something in the account?
Sorry - this is an S3 with two working S-cards.
I couldn't check on the other S3 in the house, as Halo 3 has arrived in that general area :)

So was your issue cards or signal strength? I'm leaning towards some freakish signal strength thing, as up to yesterday, I had never seen the 'searching for signal' message.
If I were to guess, you have SA cards. A "not tuned, wrong card state" message is given due to incorrect channel map information. A reboot of the machine is the correct thing to do to get the proper emm or "channel map" information.
Yes these are SA cards.
Still curious, if it had been SDV, would I even get the channel listings when the S3 reboots?

As far as in the guide? Yes, switched channels show up in the guide, but if you tune them you get a gray screen.

Wait a minute... they added FoodHD but not Science Channel HD? WTF?
More fun this evening...same type of problem as before (missing some channels), then went to missing ALL channels.
Pulled the cards and re-inserted them, and waited for the channel map to reload - when it did reload, both numbers were 0, and I got no channels.
Restarted the TiVo (S3), and watched for the Acquiring Channel Information screen, where the first one should go to 315, and the second usually goes to 30 or so.
The first one went to 240 (?) and then the second went to 110 (?).
Still no channels...and then got the "Searching for signal on Basic Cable" message.
Went to Signal Strength test and saw my channel map is hosed (missing probably 1/3 of my channels), and the signal strength on the 'good' channels seems to take a moment longer to lock in than usual.
Was walking over to unplug (hard reset), and the missing channels returned.

So...is this a signal strength issue? I see 97-100 on most channels just as it had been before.

I do NOT have the new software.
The offspring's S3 is also doing some weird things, losing channels etc, but his is also showing intermittent 'CP Auth Failure' messages on the cards.

HALP!!

In most areas, Comcast hasn't added the Discovery family of HD channels (Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, Science Channel). Although why is that surprising? I bet that Food Network has at least triple the viewers of the Science Channel.
