Hi. I got a Panasonic DRM-2001G DVD recorder with 80gb hard drive.
I am also using a Direct TV Tvo box. I got the DVD player to play through Video 2 on my TV and my Tvo is run through video 1 of TV. I can't seem to find a way to get a signal through the dvd so I can record to the new hard drive or to dvd. I have tried using splitters, coming out of the out RCA jacks on the Tv and can't get a recordable signal through. Does anyohe have any suggestions?
Thank,s

Your DirecTV TiVo has two sets of video output jacks. Run a set of yellow/red/white cables from one of these outputs on the TiVo to the "line input" on your DVD recorder. Do not try to pass the signal through the TV - your TV may in fact not have any sort of video outputs.

To record, set the DVD recorder to "line input" (see its manual for what it calls this.) to record from the input jacks.
