Good evening,
I was a long time Directv subscriber but had to "downgrade" to cable after a lot of issues with the local installers. Back in March I was told by D* that they would soon be sending out a smaller version of the 5lnb dish (not the slimline) that was smaller and weighed less..perhaps with fewer arms. Just wondering if this ever was released or did they not know what they were talking about?

Nothing ever officially announced, so nothing released as of yet. I'd imagine at some point a more refined dish with 3 lnb's for 101, 99 and 103 sats would be released, but that would be some time on down the road (since there's still plenty of HD and bunch of locals on the 110 and 119 sats now).

Thanks for the update..I keep getting calls from Directv begging me to come back and promising the world on whatever they can do to get me back...but the installers are frustrating to deal with.
