From what I've read on this forum, it's the only one that takes some of the processing load off the Tivos' internal processor, making transfers faster.wolflord11 said:As for the Tivo branded one, it is a Linksys I do believe. Why is it a best? Because it has the Tivo logo on it? You have got to be joking right.
Very true. My transfers and reboot issues went away after upgrading to the TiVo branded wireless adapters. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the extra scratch for better stability and speed!!!steve614 said:From what I've read on this forum, it's the only one that takes some of the processing load off the Tivos' internal processor, making transfers faster.
The TiVo Wireless adapter is not a Linksys and has specialty hardware that speeds some networking functions by offloading processing that otherwise taxes the TiVo's CPU. There are countless threads regarding the speed improvements when using the TiVo Adapter.wolflord11 said:As for the Tivo branded one, it is a Linksys I do believe. Why is it a best?
