I would like to know what is the best network adapter that will work with Netgear WPN824 (RangeMax Wireless Router) and TiVo Standalone units like Toshiba RS-TX60? Please help. Thanks.

I was wondering if anyone tried this combo yet. The netgear wpn111 is not referenced on Tivo's official list, either thumbs up or thumbs down, but I'm not sure when that list was last updated.

The best ones are the ones that have been tested and work with tivo.

As for the Tivo branded one, it is a Linksys I do believe. Why is it a best? Because it has the Tivo logo on it? You have got to be joking right.

From what I've read on this forum, it's the only one that takes some of the processing load off the Tivos' internal processor, making transfers faster.

Very true. My transfers and reboot issues went away after upgrading to the TiVo branded wireless adapters. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the extra scratch for better stability and speed!!!

The TiVo Wireless adapter is not a Linksys and has specialty hardware that speeds some networking functions by offloading processing that otherwise taxes the TiVo's CPU. There are countless threads regarding the speed improvements when using the TiVo Adapter.
